Director of Music and Worship

 

LakeRidge Methodist Church, part of the Global Methodist Church, seeks to connect generations with Jesus to impact our world. They are looking for a Director of Music and Worship to join their team. This person will work with the Pastors and Worship Teams to minister through music and the other arts in the local church, community, and beyond. The Director will lead a diverse program that includes a Sanctuary Choir, a praise team, Handbell Ringers, Sanctuary Orchestra, Sanctuary Praise Team, Scholarship Singers, Youth Worship Teams, and Vertical Praise (children’s choir).

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Through direct leadership, team management and/or delegation:
  • Directing the Sanctuary Choir for all morning worship services and directing weekly rehearsals
  • Serving as lead vocalist with the praise team
  • Leading congregational singing
  • Developing groups through fellowship and quality music making
  • Working with children’s, youth, college/young adult, and adult ministry teams to meet all worship and music needs

What skills you need to have: 

  • Ability to lead the congregation vocally in singing
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both large group and one on one communication
  • Strong recruiting skills to identify people to be part of the music ministry from within the congregation and to recruit at local universities
  • Ability to lead musicians and vocalists ranging from those who are highly skilled to more entry-level musicians and singers
  • Desire to develop others and help them grow in their faith

Lead Pastor

Riverwood Community Church in Cannon Falls, Minnesota is in search of their next Lead Pastor. The heart in everything this community of faith does is to bring people into a relationship with Jesus Christ and to help them grow in that relationship. They are looking for a Lead Pastor called by God to be a gifted leader and advocate for Riverwood’s vision and mission for the purposes of leading, modeling, and teaching God’s ways. As a Lead Pastor, this person displays their commitment to Jesus Christ in their sermons, spiritual leadership, vision casting, and pastoral care for the congregation and community. As the Lead Pastor they will lead, mentor, and develop Riverwood’s staff, volunteers and members.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Develop and lead weekly Sunday Celebrations that glorify and worship God
  • Prepare and deliver Biblically-based messages for Sunday Celebrations
  • Develop and oversee Ministry Team meetings for the purpose of leader development
  • Lead and mentor Riverwood staff, including hiring and arranging training
  • Work together with Board of Elders in discerning, promoting, and implementing God’s vision and direction for Riverwood to achieve its stated mission
  • Ensure relational care is taking place through small groups, coaching, and other relationships

What skills you need to have: 

  • Commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
  • Leadership, giftedness in ministry, and willingness to serve
  • Ability to communicate biblical knowledge (1 Timothy 3:2)
  • Completed a Master of Divinity degree with an accredited evangelical seminary or completed a Bachelor’s degree in ministry from a Christian College and a willingness to complete further education
  • Five or more years of previous pastoral experience (may be as associate, youth, or lay leader)

Lead Pastor

 

CrossPoint Church in West Allis, Wisconsin, is looking for a Lead Pastor to join their team. This person will lead the church in preaching, shepherding, and vision-casting while helping the congregation pursue its mission of being on the move to redeem people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While he will be a peer alongside the other elders in terms of spiritual leadership and oversight, he will be the “first among equals.” He will drive the visions and pursuits of CrossPoint leading the staff, elders, and body to accomplish the Gospel work to which they are called. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Leading the church in preaching, shepherding, and vision casting 
  • Preaching on Sunday mornings. 
  • Shepherding the congregation. 
  • Developing and training others to be under-shepherds within the body, such as other pastoral staff, elders, ministry leaders, and small group leaders.

Family Pastor

New Hope Fellowship in Westminster, Maryland, is seeking a family pastor to join their team. This position will lead the Next Gen team and will oversee all areas of Family Ministry associated with New Hope. The Family Pastor will work in tandem with the Lead Pastor to disciple, empower, and engage families.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Providing leadership, coaching, direction, and vision for all of Family Ministries.
  • Recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers for Family Ministry Classes, Connection Groups, Family Events, and Marriage Groups, alongside the Student Ministry and Children’s Ministry staff.
  • Overseeing and developing staff and volunteer team members in Family Ministries.
  • Applying strong biblical standards and appropriate child development knowledge to meet the needs of NHF’s children in curriculum selection, programming, child discipline, classroom organization, etc.

Worship Arts Pastor

First Baptist Church of Medina, Ohio, is in search of their next Worship Arts Pastor. This person will serve as part of the pastoral leadership team, providing spiritual leadership for people involved in worship arts and other related ministries. This includes leading worship and investing in the worship arts team in a way that develops the heart and skills of the team – empowering them to call the church to rich, Spiritual worship.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Leadership – working with the other pastors to preserve sound doctrine, protect the church, and proactively lead the church to experience and share the hope of Jesus.
  • Vision – setting vision for the worship and tech team that directly supports the vision and values set by the Lead Pastor and leadership of First Medina.
  • Team Building – recruiting, discipling, and equipping people to serve in the worship arts ministries of the church.
  • Worship Leading – planning and leading weekly worship that reflects true worship of God through music, scripture, and other creative mediums. (The Worship Arts Pastor will normally be on stage about 3 out of 4 weeks.)

Medina is an upper-middle-class bedroom community for Cleveland and Akron. The town is a traditionally conservative community that is growing and quickly changing. Many people refer to Medina as a “Hallmark” town, with a quaint downtown with an active square and a gazebo. People travel from all around Medina to visit the square and attend events. There are all kinds of great parks and walking paths in the area.  It is normal to see deer, and other wildlife, wandering around people’s yards (and eating their flowers) in the evening.

Pastor of Student Ministries

Conroe Bible Church of Conroe, Texas is seeking a Pastor of Student Ministries to join their team. They are seeking someone who loves Jesus and loves students. This person will oversee all of the ministries to students, ages 11 to 18. The Pastor of Student Ministries will shepherd the Junior and Senior High students and their families through an incarnational ministry by getting involved in students’ lives, as well as enlisting, equipping, and encouraging the adult volunteers in the student ministries.  We have students who know a great deal of the Bible. The challenge of this role will be to help these students learn to live it and help students who know a great deal about Christ learn to experience Him.
