A West Texas boy who grew up in Midland/Odessa, Shay is now living in Fort Worth, TX with his wife Robyn and their three sons, where they are currently planting Mercyhill Church. Shay has a B.S. in Youth Ministry, an M.A. in Evangelism & Church Planting, and an M.Div in biblical studies from Liberty University. He is currently working on his dissertation for a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies through the Cook School of Leadership at Dallas Baptist University. His emphasis is on Adaptive and Transformational Leadership through today’s social, religious, and technological change. Shay has been serving in the local church for over a decade as a student pastor, campus pastor, teaching pastor, multisite director, church planter, and Lead Pastor. In that time, he has developed and led church-wide campaigns, built teams, restructured staff, started campuses, multiplied groups, removed growth barriers, and coached pastors and leaders.
